Our butt hinge templates let you get perfectly aligned mortises for a wide variety of butt hinges, every time. Because each template lets you rout bookmatched mortises for both leaves of a single hinge at the same time, the leaves will line up neatly, with no errors introduced by having to mount and remount the jig. They're great for lidded boxes, chests, trunks, wooden toolboxes and the like. The templates fit into our JIG IT Hinge Mortising System (#58822), which allows you to clamp it in place, and offers an adjustable fence. Use with a plunge router, guide bushing and straight router bit.
